  4. Date of Activity: May 26-27, 2017

  5. Project partners: Project Share: Mindoro,

  6. Purpose of the Project:

We provided underprivileged children a free educational head start by giving them the basic school necessities. Readily available school supplies let students and teachers focus on what's really important: Learning. This is also a big help for their parents because they will no longer think on where to get money in buying supplies for their children but instead focus on other family needs. Members Contribution and Donations help out a total of 350 students and our simple kits were filed with notebooks, papers, pencils, pencil case, ballpens, erasers, sharpeners and bag - + headbands and ponytails – for girls.

For us, these help Mangyan Students to be more motivated and interested in learning and/or going to school as they became excited and eager to use complete set of supplies. These also build confidence and self-esteem because there is no reason for them to compare themselves from the students in urban areas.

Hearing them saying Thank you while wearing a big smile are very heart melted words from innocent kids like them. Because that was the first time that they received a complete set of school supplies.

If we want to create CHANGE: we will start this thru EDUCATION. Use our PURPOSE and PASSION.

About Me

Meet Jaemee – A passionate traveler, solo adventurer, and advocate for community-driven initiatives. Since graduating in 2012, I've been on a mission to explore the world, one backpack at a time. My love for nature, cultures, and self-discovery fuels my journeys.

I believe solo travel is never truly lonely; it's an opportunity to connect with amazing people from all walks of life, forging bonds that can last a lifetime. Along my travels, I've come to cherish simple joys: chocolates, flowers, art, and all things DIY. Whether it's creating something with my hands or experiencing the beauty of nature, I thrive on creativity.

But my journey isn't just about exploring the world – it's also about giving back. I'm deeply involved in community service projects focused on basic education, literacy, and supporting indigenous communities. I find purpose in uplifting those around me and working toward a more compassionate, sustainable future.

Inspired by Maya Angelou’s words, “My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style,” I aim to live a life that radiates these values—exploring, learning, sharing, and growing with every step.
